Futurama 12″ Bender BankItem: Futurama 12″ Bender Bank
Save your money by not buying this bank! The 12″ Bender Bank, based on the character from the animated show Futurama, retails for around $25 and is generally worthless. Bender stands upright on two spindly, unmovable plastic legs with equally unmovable feet that are uneven and unbalanced. Bender has a bad habit of tumbling over at the slightest breeze if you can ever actually get him to stand on his own in the first place. This prevents you from over actually dropping coins into him, as he always, without fail, falls over when you try. Another design flaw is his head. It pops off so you can remove the change once he is full, which is almost immediately because he only holds a few dollars at a time. Benders head fits in place very loosely and is very unstable as well. It doesn’t pop on, it doesn’t even really slide in to any adequate hole; it just kind of sits on his shoulders and falls off very, very often, sometimes completely unprovoked. As a 12″ figure, Bender fails again. He has very little detail sculpted or painted on and his arms and legs are glued in static positions. He comes with no accessories (a posable arm with a beer bottle or a removable cigar would have been great) and is in a constant awkward stance. Over all, if you want to save money, just don’t spend $25 on a hunk of grey plastic that fails as a coin bank and collectors figure. Rating: 3
