I purchased the Altec Lansing 121 computer speakers with subwoofer for $26 at Office Max. I plugged them into my computer and I was amazed with the sound. I was thinking, “is this really coming from the same compuer?”, because before I had cheap speakers and playing music on my computer did not sound very good. Now, with the speakers plugged into my computer, my computer can play better sound then my $100 stereo! I boxed up my big stereo and put it in the garage because I can plug these speakers into anything with a headphone jack: my computer, MP3 player, radio, tape player, whatever. The sound with the included subwoofer is amazing. When I turn the volume up, however, I do occasionally hear something quietly buzzing inside. This is not a problem because I do not ever play my music loud. Also, when I disconnect the speakers from the computer while the speakers are turned on, the speakers make a really loud noise. I just have to remember to turn them off before disconnecting. I would recommend the Altec Lansing 121 computer speakers and subwoofer for anyone who likes high-fidelity music at low or medium volume because the sound is better than any stereo I have ever owned.
