Mafia death is just one in a million among a vast sea of MMORPG’s (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). One thing you’ll notice when visiting the home page of the game is the number of people registered on its three servers. Almost seventy thousand people! The game envisages a mafia theme which in my opinion is highly overdone on the internet these days. Visit any MMORPG ranking site such as www.mmorpg100.com and you’ll notice that at least 6 of the top 20 games are mafia based. So what makes Mafia Death the one to choose? Why go for this game rather than any other in the top 20? This reviewer will take you into the world of mafia based text games and tell you the pros and cons!
Sign up on any of the three servers and you’re started off with a level 1 mobster status account with a good few links and options on your starting home page. There are two types of currency ingame which are points and dollars (money). Both are strongly related i.e. points can be sold for money and vice versa. The game boasts an impressive array of armoury such as weapons, armour, customizable cars and car parts which you can race in the city for points and money against other players, pet shops where you can buy different breeds of dogs and boost them up with pet consumables such as strength, speed and defense boosters. Players can be caught and sent to jail at any point of time but can be busted by fellow players out of jail.
Paid upgrades are available to players who are serious enough to buy them using paypal. Though upgrades can be bought from players offering them for ingame points and money instead. The world of Mafia Death is simply immense and must be experienced to understand fully what it is. It is one of the few online text based games that has kept me playing for over 5 months successfully. The players are extremely active and friendly just like the staff who will help you at the slightest request. This game is a must play for any browser based rpg enthusiast, it has endless months of fun, team spirit, and a great way to meet new people!
