Tylenol PM (Night time)Item: Tylenol PM (Night time)
I usually don’t have problems getting to sleep but I got a two-pack of tylenol for sale at a pharmacy. One was regular and one was the new sleep aid stuff, so I thought I’d give it a try. On the occasional night that I do feel way to energetic to sleep, but know I have to get up early, I sometimes end up taking some Tylenol PM. It isn’t a knock out drowsy feeling like Nyquil, but it definitely gets me sleepy. About twenty minutes after taking it, I don’t want to do anything but lay down and turn off the lights. The suggested dose is two pills, but I usally only take one. I’m fairly sensitive to medicines (they work very well on me), so I only take one pill. On the other hand, my boyfriend doesn’t feel any affect from the PM’s. Unlike me, he’s had some insomnia issues. He’s only tried the PM once or twice, but said he couldn’t tell. Of course, he did fall asleep, so maybe it worked better than he thought. He may have been expecting that same kind of drowsiness I mentioned that you get from night time cold medicines. Now it’s obviously meant for pain. A couple times, I’ve had a headache or body aches before bedtime. I just took the normal dose. I’m not sure which happened first, pain relief or me sleeping, but it really doesn’t matter! Either way, I’m not dealing with a headache! So it may not work for everyone, but it’s worth a try if you need a sleep aid every now and then. And best of all, it’s not addictive like some sleep meds. Rating: 8
