Asus Eee Laptop PC

Item: Asus Eee Laptop PC (EEEPC4G-W011X)

In my mind, this computer is the real definition of a laptop computer. Why do people buy laptop computers? For portability. They want to be able to take the computer wherever they go, and have the ability to pull the computer out and have a computer on their lap ready to play.

This laptop is excellent for doing this, because it fits under the category of “ultra portable”, because it’s extremely light, small, and easy to carry anywhere you could ever want to go.

The great thing about this computer is that it’s portable. However, there are obvious other negative characteristics of the computer.

These include performance as far as speed is concerned. The processor and amount of memory really won’t cover any types of gaming or intense programs, so I wouldn’t recommend this laptop to anyone who wants to do anything but browse.

This is definitely a computer meant primarily for web browsing. It usually comes with Windows XP Home, but often will come with Linux operating system. This operating system will acutally make the computer perform faster, however, Linux is far less compatible and harder to use overall.

All together though, the computer is still excellent. The price is great on the laptop the majority of the time, and it’s extremely portable. If you’re someone looking for a really portable laptop to take wherever and do general Internet browsing, this laptop is definitely the answer for you.
