The Man In The Iron Mask, 1998, stars Leonardo DiCaprio as King Louis XIV and his twin brother Philippe. Loius, spoiled and cruel, cares only for his own entertainment while his people starve. Philippe, separated from the royal family at his birth and raised in secret, does not know who he is. His father did not want his two sons to fight for the throne, so he sacrificed one by sending him away and pretending he never existed. Later on, Philippe is locked up in Bastille, with an iron mask permanently affixed onto his head so that nobody ever sees his face and his striking resemblance to the king. Aramis, one of the famous three musketeers, knows about Philippe. Seeing that the king does nothing for the country and is very unlikely to change his ways, Aramis and his friends come up with a risky plot to overthrow him. They want to rescue Philippe from jail and train him to replace Louis.
