CAREFUL WHEN YOU BUY ON JEWELRY TVItem: ACNtv.com
Jewelry T.V. or ACNtv.com has been on the air for about twelve years, and I have used their station to buy far too much jewelry, but, I love everything I get! What I want to give my review on, is WHEN to buy on this station. Jewelry t.v. has two completely different departments. One is for gems that are unset. These gems may be diamonds, emeralds, rubies, (all your standard gems), or they may be very exotic, collectable gems that will allow you to make money by selling them, or to have really expensive jewelry either made by someone else for you, or you make it yourself. A lot of jewelry can be made by the total ameteur, as this station sells ’snap tight’ castings! With snap tight castings, all one needs to do, is to place a stone (gem) flat side down on a covered (protect the stone) hard surface, place the snap tight casting over this, and push down……..wait for the ‘clicking’ sound, and PRESTO! You have made yourself new earrings, a pendant, or a ring out of silver or gold. The prices vary a lot, so pay attention to WHEN to buy them. This show is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in my area. I find it on Cable channel 56, and I live in Humboldt County, CA. Your times to watch this may be different, but, when to buy rules remain the same! At the end of each hour, a special price is offered for a piece of jewelry or a parcel of gems, or even, perhaps, one fancy gem that would have cost a great deal more, during the past hour of the same show. Watch to see when your hosts of the show change. This is when you will get the best deals of all! While the same hosts are hosting a show, an hourly, on the hour, zinger, or host pick will be aired. This will give you the chance to buy a gem or a piece of jewelry at less than half, normally, than you would have paid during the same show, with the same hosts! Take advantage of these times, and save a great deal of money! What this show offers is well worth the money. As an example: I bought a 12mm black, perfectly round, Tahitian Pearl, unset. Tahitian natural, undyed, perfectly spherical pearls are very expensive! At the end of one show (it goes immediately onto what is called another show, when another host or hostess takes over), I bought a pearl exactly as described above, for $124.00 US. I took this pearl, when I received it in its plastic case, all covered, and safely sealed, to 3 different jewelers for a verbal appraisal. I wanted to know if I was getting as good material as I thought I was, and I wanted to know what price the jewelers would consider a good buy on the pearl. All three jewelers gave me the same verbal appraisal. The pearl is worth over $4,000 US, unset! This was a ‘zinger’ in the language of the show. This is to give you an idea of why I wait for the words to be spoken on the show: zinger, host pick. Only when these words are spoken DURING a regular show, do I consider buying an item. Otherwise, I wait until the new hour ’special’ purchase is offered. If you just buy during the show, when nothing is being offered at a ‘zinger’ price or a ‘host pick’ price, you will pay more than you need to, by far. Be patient! Wait for exactly what you want to buy, to become a zinger or a host’s pick, or an hourly special buy! It will happen. Do not be pressured by the hosts to buy at other times. They are very inviting! Buying is done two different ways. You may buy on the internet, but, this does not always offer you the special pricing. The most effective way to get truly wonderful deals on gems or jewelry, is to wait for the ‘proper time’ as you have just read, and then, to call the station’s number. The number is listed on the t.v. screen at all times. The person who answers will sign you up as a member, for free. You will need to give your name, address, telephone number, and a credit card number to use for your purchases. Some people, I understand use a checking account, but I have always just used my debit card for my checking account. After this has been easily done, the person on the other end of the phone will ask you for the number of the item you want. Pay attention to the numbers of each item you may be interested in. Write down the number, so that you may quickly give it to the person taking the order. You will be billed about $8 US for shipping for the first item you buy during any particular show. You will pay about $2. for other items bought during the SAME show. If the hosts change, you are back to the higher amount to pay for shipping. Your jewelry or gem will arrive in a packet within a week or so. If you do not like it, you have 30 days (if the item is $499.99 or less) or 14 days (if it is more than listed) to return the item, for ANY reason. Follow the exact directions given to you on the paper inside your packet, to return the item. Your account will be credited the amount, when the piece is returned. Give this show a try, and if you are like me……..sell the jewelry you make or buy at a good profit. It works! Rating: 10
