Francisco Elson is one of those players who has benefited greatly by playing alongside Tim Duncan. From an unknown player in the league to a respected big man off the bench for the defending world champions. Before his stop with the Spurs Elson was playing a role with the Denver Nuggets as a mop up type of a player who goes into games only when the outcome has already been decided.
Back then i could already see some potential in him as he has the right attitude and a positive outlook as well. Now with the Spurs, the team has tapped that potential of his and has made him the first player off the bench for the Spurs big man rotation. He relieves either Tim Duncan or Fabricio Oberto and oftentimes be in the court during endgames when the opponent has a big line-up. He can score the ball off of offensive rebounds and set-up passes from his teammates as he moves pretty well without having to handle the rack. Rating: 6
