NordicTrack Incline Trainer X10 (NTK1994)Item: incline trainer
NordicTrack Incline Trainer X10 (NTK1994) offers the incline range of up to 50%, which is way larger than any treadmill (the highest I’ve seen on a treadmill is 25%). Incline training allows the user to burn more calories at a shorter time. According to NordicTrack, if you walk at 2MPH with a 25% incline you will burn 3 times more calories than you would have by walking on flat surface, and with 50% incline you’d burn 6 times more. The machine has as many as 37 workout programs, with varying exercise goals: you can focus on weight loss, endurance, performance, or aerobics. Cardio cables with 8 resistance levels allow you to exercise your upper body as well (arms, shoulders, chest). The console has 2 fans built into it, with two speeds, low and high. The incline goes up and down in 5% increments. The speed range is up to 12 miles per hour. The 20 inches wide, 56 inches long belt is designed for quiet performance. The DuraSoft Impact Absorption System protects the user’s joints. The machine comes with 2 heart rate monitors: the CardioTrack, built into the hand grip, and AccuRate Wireless, which is a strap you can put around your body, on the upper abs; it will transmit your heart rate directly to the console. NordicTrack Incline Trainer X10 is iFit compatible, which means that you can download additional workout programs from iFit.com. The SpaceSaver feature allows you to fold the machine up when it is not used and save some space. The maximum user weight allowed on the machine is 300 pounds. The trainer comes with a lifetime warranty on the motor and a 1 year warranty of parts and in-home labor. The machine retails for $2,499. If you buy it from the NordicTrack website you can save $700 and get it for $1,799. However, NordicTrack does not offer free shipping for this machine. Rating: 10
