Tunisian OasisItem: Tour of Tunisian Oasis
Let me start of by saying, specifying, underlying, and highlighting that this kind of holiday isn’t for everybody, and this for the very simple reason that you will spend a lot of time riding on a bus. It is an 8 day trip where you will see some truly spectacular sceneries which allow you to take many breathtaking photos/videos which you will cherish for all your lives. On the fifth day our tour had the possibility to (for an extra fee) to go to Oung el Jemel which set for movies such as “The English Patient” and for all you fans out there “Star Wars”, which would make many fans go “WOW”!!!!!!!.
As for food and sleeping arrangements you will dine and rest in 8 different hotels. You will have the possibility to visit some truly remarkable towns and, for you ladies, do some shopping. Keep in mind the prices will be pretty low, you can go smoke hashisha (flavoured tabacco) while enjoying a nice drink on the sand. A word of advice, don’t wander off too much, try to stay with the group and don’t get lost. Word of advice to teens: don’t try to steal anything, regardless of how small it may be, the punishments there are pretty severe, and secondly don’t bring in or use any kinds of drugs (weed included) as it is a pretty serious offense there and the Tunisian law doesn’t even know the concept of ’slap on the wrist’. Believe me you don’t want to end up in one of those prisons. Now do i reccomend spending ~700 euro for this trip? The answer is yes and no. No if you don’t want to spend a lot of time on a bus (the shortest distance will be about 100km and the longest between one point of interest and the next is of 415km) The road is all desert (like the California - Nevada stretch). Yes if you want to see some truly interesting things which all other tourists won’t get to see. The vacation is very fun and if for some reason you don’t like the hotel the next one you might like it more. For the low price of about 600 euro each it is definetly worth it for the adventerous type, while i would reccomend that someone looking for some relaxation should go to a normal hotel which would most likely cost him/her less. This trip is very dynamic and there won’t be too much time to relax. As a result i don’t recommend it to everyone but only to a certain catagory of people. If adventure is your kind of thing and you don’t mind spending a lot of time sitting on a bus then this is for you, if not then not. However, generally speaking this is a very nice vacation to go on and you get a lot of value for your money. Rating: 8
