The Polaroid i733 has to be one of the best cameras for a starting photographer. The price is decent, and so is the functionality of the device, overall.
RESOLUTION
The camera features a reliable, 7 mega-pixel resolution for very high quality prints and internet pictures. Prints very detailed pictures up to 16 x 20 inches. The camera also features a great optical zoom, which will allow the user to zoom up to 3x in, and the quality of the picture will be maintained, because the lens itself magnifies the image; it’s not a digital zoom where the lens itself doesn’t actually change.
2.5″ LCD SCREEN
The bright LCD screen makes it pretty easy to view pictures before and after taking. You can also view movies on the lcd screen once you’ve recorded or put them on your camera by other means. The screen doesn’t feature full durability, or glare-reduction, like some other screens do, but this one “gets the job done”.
FLASH MODES
The camera contains many different types of convenient flash modes, which will make overall picture-taking an easier process. You can choose from: off, auto, red-eye reduction, and fill flash.
SCENE MODES
There are also many different scenes you can choose from before taking a picture. These are really convenient and add some customization to your pictures in the long run. You can select from up to 10 settings to make your final images look that much better, and more unique.
COOL FEATURES
There are several features which make the camera even easier to use, such as an automatic white-balance, and contrast settings. This makes it very easy for the beginning-photographer to take pictures without having to mess around with too many display/camera settings.
MEMORY
The camera comes with 16 mb of internal memory, but can easily be upgraded using an SD card. 16 mb of memory isn’t a whole lot, but most cameras don’t come with much more without the use of a memory card. I’d strongly recommend buying a relatively large SD card with the purchase of any digital camera.
OVERALL SATISFACTION
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this camera. It takes great pictures, has average memory, and has convenient features making photography easier for beginners. I would recommend buying this camera to anyone who is interested in starting photography, but isn’t sure what camera they want, or how to even use one.
