An airplane crashes on a mountain in alaska and the rescue seems to be far away. The survivors are hopeful to begin with but when days go by and no rescue is coming everyone is beginning to panic and conflicts arise within the group. It’s extremely cold and the people have to help each other to survive, but the biggest problem is to escape from hunger. Finally some of the people see no other choice than to eat their dead fellow passengers to survive. I won’t say how the film ends, but as it is a Hollywood production you don’t have to be Einstein to guess it. However, I think this is a stupid film telling a story that holds no real relevance. I don’t see the point of it all. Does it want to tell the audience that human beings do crazy things to survive? Well, gosh, that’s a real surprise.
Also, the narrative is clumsy and nothing ever engage me, there’s no trace of suspense in Alive. An overrated waste of time.
