Pagan Nation (PN for short) is a web site created by and for the Pagan community. I love the forums because of the sheer variety of topics discussed - everyone comes from different backgrounds, so everyone has something different to share.
AJ Drew, the webmaster does a great job of coming up with things to make Pagan Nation better than it was. So far there’s the forums, a Wiki page, online store to help fund the site, newsgroups, PN blogs, general discussion threads and a games forum, “adults only”… pretty much everything you’d want in a community. It’s a great place to meet people of a like mind - I met my fiance there :) We’ve both made some deep friendships with people we’ve met on PN, as well as casual acquaintances. It’s great to be able to hop online and know you can talk to people with similar interests/beliefs as you (that’s why forums are so popular after all). Personally I like forums a lot better than instant messaging because everyone doesn’t have to be online at the same time, and you can go away and think about your answers to in-depth questions before posting. And some of the topics we discuss, you need to stop and think. It’s great to have somewhere that forces you to think about what you believe, and why you believe it. If you follow a pagan/heathen spirituality, or just want to find out more, go and talk to the people on PN. You don’t have to join to read the threads, and it’s free if you do decide to join. A lot of the regular posters have been following their path for years, so they can help anyone just starting out. Rating: 10
