This is the first book of what appears to be intended to be a series. Two girls who have been separated at birth and adopted by two different families meet, through a series of coincidences. They also discover that they each have special powers.
Of course, they have a problem - someone appears to be after them, and seems to have been the person who killed their father. However, he also says he can take them to their birthmother.
They also have ‘guardian angels’ who are supposed to watch and protect them. This sort of works.
A lot of this story is unrealistic and kind of weird. Not everything in this book is very well explained. A movie was made based on this book, which changed quite a few of the details and sort of made more sense.
