I used to fly American Airlines all the time… I used to enjoy racking up the frequent flier miles… I used to enjoy boarding American Airlines flights…. NO LONGER! American Airlines has the worst customer service I have ever seen! All I was doing was taking a simple flight from San Francisco, California, to Des Moines, Iowa. Very simple right? Oh no… I had a connecting flight in Dallas. No big deal, other than the fact that that flight was delayed by 2 hours. Then my connecting flight was canceled for “weather reasons” (when it was completely cloudless out). They then attempted to put me on a flight 12 hours later and expected me to sit at the gate the entire time. When i finally got to my destination I was stunned (ok not really it was expected at this point) that they lost my luggage. Their response? “in the event that we find your luggage, we need your address so we can send it too you”…….. IN THE EVENT!!! Unbelievable. And the worst part of all? Not one person apologized or showed any remorse for what had happened. You would figure that a huge company like that would at least show a little respect for their customers… but I guess I’ll have to find a new airline, and i suggest you do too.
