I signed up to Ciao about a week ago and finally today I recieved my first survey for �1.67 (about $3.40), I am a bit disappoined with this as they only give you the chance to do a survey every 2 - 3 weeks, which means you wont be making much on it.
You can also write reviews which doesn’t pay very well, I have had 6p (12 cents) for 3 reviews, one very long Windows Vista one as well, that wasn’t really worth my while.
Ciao seems, however to be a service you can trust, it is a well established website with plenty of members and plenty of reviews, but don’t expect to get many surveys, firstly you have to fill out 11 questionnaires about everything from Games to your career, your travelling habits to your finances, just to make sure you get the right surveys. One of my friends signed up for this service about 3 weeks ago and he hasn’t recieved any invites to survey’s yet, so I’m not too sure about this site.
There are plenty of sites like Ciao on the internet, but I have found that I am very reluctant to sign up to some of them because they don’t look like they are well established firms like Ciao. I signed up to one and I’m getting plenty of offers to partake in surveys, they all end up in my spam folder and all have Win an iPod, or win a Holiday, they are the sort of surveys you get in popups, click your favourite washing detergent to win �1000 etc. etc.
Overall, I wouldn’t sign up to Ciao if you want to make big bucks, because you wont make them, but if you like reviewing or just want an extra few quid (or dollars) a month then it is for you.
