The Hinckley Island Hotel is a unique modern hotel located in Hinckley. Set in the lovely rolling countryside within easy reach to Leicester,Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry and Warwick.
I stayed at this hotel in November 2006 in one of the Executive Suite rooms - which is the name they have given to the newly refurbished rooms in this hotel.
My room had two double beds and was large enough to hold a dance in! The facilities were excellent they even have towelling dressing gowns and slippers for you to use.
The only downside was the food and drink. Drinks were expensive and if you are wanting to drink late into the night in the bar they insist that you put drinks on your credit card and refuse payment in cash.
The food was “international” cuisine, the hotel was exceptionally busy with a large conference but service was slow and my meal was lukewarm when it arrived.
I would stay there again - the facilities were excellent however I would probably eat out somewhere else.
