If you are going to visit Atlanta, GA try to go downtown to the Underground for a little shopping excursion. If you are driving, there are parking garages that average between $3- $5. Usually I choose the $3 parking because it is cheaper and closer to more of the stores. Most of the parking areas that charge $5 are on the street level. The MARTA also makes a stop at this junction. There are a variety of stores that sell clothing, shoes, perfumes, cosmetics, and handbags. If you like wine, buy a bottle of peach wine that is locally made. I think that the peach wine is a good dessert wine. If you like pralines, stop by one of the candy stores which offer pecan pralines made in the store. These are especially delicious. The pralines are soft and buttery, with just the right amount of sweetness. I like the fact that they use big pecan halves. If you get hungry, there is a food court with many cuisine options, like pizza, wings, hamburgers, and Chinese. I usually at the restaurant that serves hot wings. Have you ever held an owl or parakeet or toucan? There is a vendor who offers to take your picture with various exotic birds. The price of the picture is from $15 and up. I got my picture taken with the toucan. That was an interesting experience for me.
