Restoran NurinItem: Restoran Nurin
This is an amazing restaurant. Seriously. I’ve never been to a restaurant that sells more varieties of Naan than Restoran Nurin.
Before I visited Restoran Nurin, I thought Q Bistro (near Taman Tasik Permaisuri) had the greatest varieties of Naan. However, Restoran Nurin proved me wrong. Restoran Nurin not only sold Kashmiri Naan like Q Bistro, but it sells Kismis Naan as well, which I’ve never seen before at other places. Also, most places don’t serve lunch in the afternoon. Restoran Nurin did. This had made me prefer Restoran Nurin over other restaurants. The Naan that are served here are very tasty too. The edges are usually crispy and crunchy. The middle part are filled with a slightly sweet, buttery, slightly salty taste. It tastes so great that you can eat the Naan just like that - you won’t even need the curry. I’ve ate Naan here several times, without touching the curry. I would say the Kashmiri Naan served here is even better than the Kashmiri Naan served at Q Bistro, because it is crunchier, crispier and has a stronger flavor in it. The staff here are overall friendly. They are very patriotic as well, as they wear Malaysian flag on their head, which makes them look really cute! However, they have a very strong India accent, so be careful of that. You might not be able to understand their accent, and they might have problems understanding your English as well. There was this once when I try to order Kashmiri Naan and they misunderstood my order as “Kismis Naan”. So, speak louder and clearer when you order here! If you have to repeat your order, or if you think it is necessary to ask them to repeat your order, do not hesitate! If you are in a hurry, you shouldn’t order Naan here, because it takes quite some time to make your Naan - usually around 15 minutes or so. You can try some of their other delicious dishes, like Roti Tisu and Rojak, which are usually served faster, according to my observation. Naan is more expensive than other food. It usually cost RM4 and above. However, eating naan here had become my weekly pleasure. I have to eat naan here at least once a week. Rating: 7
