Method Daily Shower Cleaner Ylang YlangItem: Method Daily Shower Cleaner Ylang Ylang
I used to live in an apartment that had tiles in the bathroom. I’d always been used to have one of those plastic bathtub surrounds, and this was the first time I had to deal with tiles and the grout in between the tiles that tend to get full of mold and mildew from the humidity of a hot shower and the constant presence of water. I usually forget to wipe the shower down after I’ve take one, and this had led to the grout looking disgusting and dirty all the time, and then I’d have to spend hours a couple times a month scrubbing it, and I could never get it back to the level of whiteness that it was at when we moved into this apartment.
It was a bigger problem than I really wanted to deal with, but a friend of mine suggested using a daily spray on the walls, and I wouldn’t have to worry about scrubbing it down later on, so long as I kept up with it this way, and it was much easier to deal with by spraying it than having to wipe it down after a shower to keep it dry. This Method Daily Shower Cleaner with ylang ylang was fantastic. The bottle is 100% recycled, and that helped motivate me to recycle other products in my home when I’d really never given it much thought in the past. And the smell was really like visiting a spa. Ylang ylang isn’t typically a scent I prefer, and I could’ve thought of many others I’d initially have liked to have seen in this product, but when I sprayed it, it smelled so wonderful. It was woodsy, but at the same time it almost had a bit of a citrus flavoring to it that added some punch to an otherwise so-so scent. There are other fragrances in it as well, but it doesn’t list them on the bottle, so I can only guess as to their nature. I’m thinking there has to be an orange or lemon in it, and maybe a peppermint as well, and they were all very complimentary to ylang ylang. It’s very easy to use, because you just spray down the shower, shower curtains or doors, anything in the area while it’s still wet and you never have to wipe anything down. I just kept the bottle hanging on the towel rod in the shower, so it was always there as a reminder that I needed to spray the place down, and it took far less time to do than if I’d wiped every surface down with a towel, creating more laundry for myself in the long run. And that scent could be smelled throughout the whole house and I was now sure it was safe to use the bathroom because it was so clean now. Even my friends who have a sensitivity to certain fragrances thought it had a lovely scent and wanted to know where I’d purchased this bathroom cleaner. It was far superior to having scented candles or those plug-ins in the bathroom, and there was never any strange bathroom odors to contend with. I think it’s a great product and does everything it says it will do, because so long as I sprayed it down every day, I found that there was never further buildup of mold or mildew in the grout lines. I suggest that you be sure to give the shower a good scrub down before you use it the first time, and then using this spray will help keep the bathroom looking just as good as the day you last cleaned it, even three or four months later. The single bottle lasted me a good couple of months of daily use, and sometimes it was more than once a day since me and my husband sometimes take showers at different times, and it’s important to spray down all the surfaces right after a shower when it’s still wet. I’ve recommended this to many people who have loved it themselves, so I know it’s not just a fluke that it worked so well for me. Rating: 10
