Boy Meets World

Item: Boy Meets World

Boy Meets World was a cool show. I watched it religiously when I was a kid and I loved it. It was about a boy named Cory, his best friend Shawn and his friend who later became his girlfriend Topanga.

I think Boy Meets World is the kind of show that grew up with it’s viewers. One minute we were watching Cory trying to ask a girl to the prom and then the next he’s trying to ask Topanga to marry him. The younger he was the simpler the story was.

I especially liked Rider String as Shawn. I liked his character, the troubles he often had with his own family and his relationship with Angela. I must say to that Boy Meets World deserves kudos for being one of the first shows to introduce inter-racial relationships to the screen.

What made Boy Meets World so great is that it had a solid base. We have a family who is stable and strong, a next door neighbour who never moved away and friends who have stuck around. After watching a few seasons we know the characters inside and out and it’s fun to watch people who we know.

This was a very funny show with some lovely moments. i really miss watching it to be honest.

The Giver is Lois Lowry’s crowning glory in my opinion. I also loved her World War II novel Number the Stars, but The Giver is a different story that fills a different niche, and most importantly, serves a different purpose. This novel tells of a world that ...
