I grew up in Manila, Philippines as the youngest of 7 siblings. You
can say that Family Planning was only being introduced during the 60's
when my parents got married. I have 4 sisters and two brothers; in our
local dialect we call older sisters Ate and older brothers Kuya; all are
married but me and an older brother. Don't make me count how many nieces
and nephews I have, because I lost count when the third one came along.
I don't even remember their names or who their parents are; so I call
them by a generic name, Honey - thus my penname. My parents' house has
always been filled with people, and our favorite time of the year is
Christmas, probably because it's the only time I get a lot of presents;
and all my 43 cousins (that's just from my father's side by the way),
come and visit from all over the Philippines. I have so many hobbies
that I don't know where to begin. Let me say first that I am a bookworm,
kitchen gadget collector, frustrated writer, wannabe chef, internet
junkie and the glorified assistant to the dean of our school. Those who
barely know me think I am Jackie, the 24 year old (okay, so I'm really
28 but that's a secret), spinster material, workaholic who can't stop
going back to the University to earn more degrees. But that's just how I
am to other people, especially co-workers; but I'm really fun and I also
dream of walking down the aisle one day when I'm done with my 100 things
to do before I get married list. I have traveled a lot in my country,
and I love staying in luxurious places. I am willing to try anything,
except eat dog meat and swim with sharks.
I came across ReviewStream when I was looking for reviews on banks. I
read some of the other reviews and I got mad because all these years
I've been giving out my opinions for free! I never knew that I could get
paid to rant and rave about products I've used, services I’ve tried and
places I’ve gone to. The money I earn here is just a perk and goes into
my Christmas fund; but what's more important is that I am able to
express my unbiased opinion.
